Canon Pixma MG6150 Best Canon Pixma All-In-One Inkjet Multifunction Printer Full Colour Black is a very efficient and moderately expensive multifunction printer. This is the best Canon Pixma Printer All-In-One to offer with this Pixma MG6150. Does the device combine these two qualities? It is up to us to discover it by examining it from all angles. After wasting a few reams of paper, here are our findings.

Canon Pixma MG6150

The first impression is often the right one, they say. So with this Pixma MG6150, it promises, because this very elegant multifunction not only impressed us with its design, but also with its technicality. The device has a large adjustable color screen to facilitate adjustments. It also has a large touchscreen keyboard that only displays the functions available depending on the context. A user-friendly and intuitive browser that allows easy access to functions and settings, both from the PC driver and from the integrated keyboard. The Canon Pixma MG6150 is an All-In-One Inkjet Multifunction Printer designed for home and small office use. It offers print, scan, and copy functionalities, and supports both wireless and USB connectivity.

Canon Pixma MG6150 Full Features

But what pleasantly surprised us about a device of this price level (less than 200 euros) is the level of general equipment. In particular the presence of a double sheet tray with an automatic double-sided printing module as standard. A small gadget not without interest that automatically unfolds the tray for receiving printed sheets and avoids jamming. A drawer for inserting a template for printing on printable CDs and DVDs.

Other points that we appreciated include the device’s connectivity and the functional richness of the driver and software. USB 2.0 port, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi network as well as IRDA as standard. Optional Bluetooth to connect with a mobile phone and print the photos taken by it. But also, a triple memory card reader and PictBridge port to print directly from a flash memory card or digital camera. You can also scan documents without a PC by saving the scans on a card or USB key, which is very practical. Whether they are classic BW or color documents, or photographs, the result is of high quality. This is hardly surprising given that this Pixma MG6150 uses 1 picoliter droplet printing technology and six separate dye and pigment ink cartridges.

Graphics Mode Print Speed

The speed at which the work is carried out is questionable. Printing a 20-page BW text document took us just 1 minute 37 seconds in draft mode. Which is a speed of around 12.3 ppm in standard mode. The print quality is better. But the speed drops to 9.5ppm. Printing a document combining text and color graphics. On the other hand, much slower since it made us wait almost 7 minutes and 2 seconds. Which gives a speed of only 2.8 ppm. The reason is simple. The device pauses for a few seconds between each printed page to give it time to dry.

It, therefore, seems to us that this Pixma does not know how to make a reasonable compromise between quality and speed, at least in graphic mode. That said, for printing photos. It is quite correct since we printed a few photos in 10 x 15 cm, borderless, in 56 seconds from the PC. In only 23 seconds an SD card was inserted into the printer. It’s faster because the settings are less advanced than with the PC. Finally, it is difficult to forget that this Pixma MG6150 offers. All this for a sum of 199 euros ensuring a quality/price/functionality ratio of the most convincing.
