The Pixma MG7150 offers excellent print quality for text, graphics, and photos. It only takes 25 seconds to get a 10 x 15 cm print, compared to 67 s on average for other printers. Not only is the output fast, but the rendering is superb with beautiful colors. For printing various office documents such as letters, daily reports, and many other printing jobs it can handle. We measured average print speeds: 8.6 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 5.1 ppm in color (in regular mode).
The Canon Pixma MG7150 even approaches 11 ppm in draft mode. The text is then paler. But perfectly legible. For black and white prints, the cost per page is, according to our calculations, slightly below average, around 4.8 cents. In color, it is also satisfactory (16.9 cents). The printer also has a color flatbed scanner which offers very good scanning quality and is fast: 39 s for an A4 color photo at 600 p/p compared to 50 s on average. Count about 39 s for an A4 color photocopy with very satisfactory quality.
It prints files stored on the “Cloud”
The printer connects to your computer via USB, but also incorporates a 10/100 Ethernet interface and communicates wirelessly using Wi-Fi. Very easy to configure, it connects to your access point, but can also be directly accessible via your smartphone or tablet. Thanks to Apple AirPrint technology, you don’t need to install an app to print from your iPad or iPhone.
