PIXMA MG5250 Complete and Efficient Colour Multifunction Photo Printer has all the functions that a good model needs. Without artifice that would unnecessarily burden its price. Speeds are high, there is double-sided. It is Wi-Fi compatible and, of course, it prints, copies, and scans in high resolution. This new Pixma from Canon aligns – on paper at least – the strengths: five-color printing system, Wi-Fi compatibility, automatic two-sided printing, LCD control screen, etc.

PIXMA MG5250

After launching a few prints with various documents. Contains black and white texts. Mixed documents (with text and photos) in color and some holiday photos. We were able to judge the main characteristics of this new Pixma MG5250. Namely, its quality and its printing and scanning speed. But also its noise level. Photo prints, especially in monochrome. Maybe a little less precise, but we gain. With this cartridge less, a tighter cost per page. On the other hand, one loses the system of ordering by sensitive keys. While preserving the impression on CD and DVD with a white face. The Pixma MG5250 has a rear tray and a front tray with a capacity of 150 sheets each, or 300 in all. The PIXMA MG5250 is a complete color photo printer from Canon. It is a versatile all-in-one device that can print, scan, and copy documents and photos.

Print Photo Pretty Fast And Good Quality

In print mode, it does quite well. With standard quality, the 20 pages of our black and white text document came out in 2 minutes and 8 seconds. Which corresponds to approximately 9.4 ppm. My only regret is that the text characters are roughly drawn and therefore lack precision. Nothing dramatic, but it’s still a shame! Note that in draft mode. These same 20 NB pages are debited in just 1 minute and 37 seconds. Thus displaying a speed of 12.4 ppm. The quality is then quite satisfactory and paradoxical. The characters are better drawn. Then in normal mode (but they are of course less contrasted).

For a color document combining text and graphics. The 20 pages were printed in 3 minutes and 23 seconds, ie a speed close to only 5.9 ppm. This rate is quite slow due to the pause time. Between each printed page, necessary for drying. Same remark as in monochrome: if the flat areas of color are clean. Without colors drooling on each other. The texts are still just as approximate. Finally, with regard to the photo mode. The result is up to par with barely 35 s for a 10 x 15 cm print, in high quality and without borders. It will take 2 minutes and 14 seconds for an A4 print. It’s quick! And not to spoil anything. The result is very satisfying, with warm colors, with very precise gradients.

PIXMA MG5250 Great Scanner and Copier

This Pixma MG5250 also does well in document scanning. Its main weak point in this area: is its sound level. If the device is silent during scanning, the return of the scanning ramp is very loud. However, we will forgive him, because he turns out to be quite precise and fast. It took about 39 seconds to scan an A4 color photo, at 600 dpi, and just 12 seconds for an A4 black and white photo. Our test graph appears clear, clean, and with the correct colors. The size of the drops is slightly visible but this in no way hinders the correct reading of the numbers and letters.

We have finally finished our evaluation of this Pixma MG5250 with its third function. The one that allows us to store our old photocopier in the attic. The device offers the same zooming and multicopying possibilities as an office photocopier, with the added bonus of the possibility of making assemblies, double-sided copies, and adding effects. And that, just as quickly: 24 seconds for an A4 color photocopy and 19 seconds for a black and white photocopy. Good point, once again, the results are good, on standard paper, with precise colors, without screen effects. As for the copies, they come out in 10 seconds for black and white, and 14 seconds in color. It’s good!

How to Fix Error Code Canon B200 – So The Canon Printer Is Quickly Ready For Use Again

If your Canon printer gives the error B200, it is usually a problem with the ink cartridges. This message mainly appears if you are not using genuine Canon cartridges. However, there is a trick you can use to fix the problem. Clean the printheads and nozzles!

  1. First, remove the ink cartridge from your Canon printer;
  2. Then, wash the cartridge thoroughly under warm water while cleaning the nozzles;
  3. Next, dry the print cartridge and then reinsert it into the Canon printer;
  4. Finally, turn on the Canon printer with the cartridge cover open. The printer then performs a self-test to verify the cartridges and installed functions and clear errors from its internal memory.

Once the test is successfully completed, you can send the print job to your Canon printer as usual.

Error code B200 due to printer carriage blockage

A blocked printer carriage can also cause a B200 error. Improperly installed printheads or improperly installed ink cartridges can cause blockage. Therefore, check that the printheads are securely locked in the printer carriage and that the ink cartridges are also installed correctly.

Check cleaning unit

All Canon inkjet printers have a built-in cleaning unit that catches excess ink during printing. You’ll find most of these little sponges to the right of the printer cart.

How to avoid future B200 printer errors

To prevent the error from happening again in the future, it is important that you use genuine Canon ink or alternative ink of the same quality. To prevent clogging of the cartridge nozzles, you should use a printer cleaning program regularly. It also helps if you make black and white and color prints once a week.
