Tag: Inkjet Printer
The Inkjet Printer is an evolution of dot matrix printers. Instead of metal needles, they use hundreds of tiny guns to fire dots of ink onto the paper. Just like in a dot-matrix printer. But the beads are so tiny you can barely see them. Inkjet printers draw ink in a variety of ways. That’s why Canon sells its printers under the “Bubble Jet” brand. Epson printers work differently. They use an effect called piezoelectricity. Tiny electrical currents controlled by electronic circuits inside the printer move the small crystals back and forth, shooting ink in jets. You can think of inkjet printers very simply as a bunch of ejectors clicking millions of dots of ink onto paper every second.
An inkjet printer is part of the computer equipment found in a company. Unlike the laser printer, the inkjet printer uses liquid ink for the prints. In inkjet printer models, there are two possible variations:
- The inkjet printer with ink cartridges.
- The tank inkjet printer.
When the ink in the cartridges runs out, reservoir models are available from Canon or Brother brands. With both technologies, the inkjet printer can print quality documents in black or color, inkjet printers are purchased based on business needs. The printing of documents in other sectors requires the use of color, USB port, and wifi.
This is the main advantage of the inkjet printer: its purchase price is lower than that of a laser printer of equivalent quality, you find inkjet printers from 40 € at the entry-level and reach the top of the range up to 450 € and more, it is also essential to consider the cost per page when choosing a type of printer or type of printing, on average, there is a cost of €0.15 per page for an inkjet printer.
What are the benefits of an inkjet printer?
The main advantages of Systems inkjet printers are:
- Non-contact marking: only the ink drops come into contact with the surface, so it is possible to mark irregular, delicate, and moving products and packaging with precision and reliability;
- Variable print data: Unlike offset printing, inkjet printers do not have a fixed mask to print. It is therefore possible to print variable texts, barcodes, running numbers, and graphics directly continuously and during operation. Information, such as time, date, or batch number, is transmitted from a database;
- High printing speed: Depending on the technology, it is possible to print on products that are moving at a speed of up to 5 meters per second. We have already managed to print up to 300 different sequences of numbers per second;
- Many possibilities of use: Thanks to a wide choice of inks and specific accessories, our inkjet printers are suitable for almost all sectors, media, and uses;
- Low printing costs: Inkjet printing can be an economical alternative for labeling. For example for the identification of cartons in logistics.
What are the main parts of an inkjet printer and their roles?
In an inkjet printer we have:
- The gears are driven by an electric motor, turn the rollers which advance the paper through the printer;
- A flexible flat cable carries printing instructions from the electronic circuitry inside the printer to the moving cartridge;
- The plastic and rubber rollers pinch the paper so it can be moved through the printer with absolute precision;
- There is a metal rail on the printer head for moving back and forth;
- Pointed wheels at the front of the printer help grip paper securely and move it with precision;
- The print cartridge prints left to right then reverses the print information and prints backward from right to left.
